In-vitro astronauts...

In-vitro Astronauts…

The other day someone asked how far it was to Mars.  I said I didn’t know, and I surely didn’t know if we had the technology to travel to deep space.  There are scientist’s investigation different time zones, universe dimensional layers, time warps, black holes, etc., and if you know man, we will find a way.  The individual asked “how do you think we should accomplish this task?”  I replied, in the short term, I would suggest we use in-vitro fertilization to accomplish the task, in the short term.  The individual seemed shocked to hear such a thing.  “Explain to me the process” was the reply.

1.        We send a space craft with an apparatus containing two fertilized eggs.  A person should never be alone.

2.       The space ship would only need power to run a small computer, and to keep the eggs frozen.

3.       Once the space craft was 16 years from the destination, the eggs would be thawed, and ‘raised’ the same way as on earth.

4.       The eggs would be fed, nurtured, mechanically.

5.       They individuals would be trained, indoctrinated by computer in an environment suited and designed for the purpose.

6.       At 16 years of intellectual training and input from the computer, the individuals would have learned quite a bit.

7.       The space craft would circle the destination until such time as a landing was feasible.

8.       The craft would drop small ‘way station’ step-up signal transformers along its trajectory.  These would ‘leap frog’ any signal sent by the astronauts/computer and increase the signal as the communication was passed from one to the other, until the signal reached earth.  This way, we increase the speed at which the signal travels back to us, and our signal to the space craft and astronauts.

This is a story I am working on, complete with all the pit falls you can imagine…
